Busuanga Island Airport
Francisco B. Reyes Airport, also called Busuanga Airport, serves Coron, Busuanga, and other areas in the Calamianes, acting as the main gateway for tourism to the Northern Palawan Islands.
At the moment, there are four airlines operating in Busuanga Airport connecting the island with Manila (NAIA), Manila (Clark), Cebu (Mactan Airport), and El Nido. The airport functions only during daylight hours, from around 6 AM to 5 PM. Transfers to and from Coron Town or other locations on Busuanga Island can be arranged in advance (recommended) or at the airport.
As with many destinations worldwide, there is an environmental fee upon arrival. At Busuanga Airport, this fee is not included in the ticket price and must be paid in cash.

Cebu Pacific also connects the country with other destinations in South East Asia.

Philippine Airlines also connects the country with far destinations around the world.
Sunlight Air
Sunlight Air is a small ailine that connects Busuanga Airport with the airports in Manila, Clark, and Cebu.
Sunlight Air operates less frequencies than Cebu Pacific or Philippine Airlines.

Should I book in advance?
Yes, to get the best fares, it’s always a good idea to book in advance. If your travel dates aren’t fixed, you might end up paying a bit more for your seat. We also recommend keeping an eye on the promos that airlines launch from time to time, as they often offer significant discounts off the regular ticket prices.
I'll be flying from either Manila or Cebu. Which airline should I book?
You can choose between Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, or Sunlight Air. Sunlight Air might offer the cheapest seats on sale but has fewer flight frequencies. If you’re traveling with checked-in luggage, Cebu Pacific or Philippine Airlines would likely be better options.
What are the chances that my flight will be cancelled?
Busuanga Airport is small and basic, and like other airports worldwide, flights occasionally get canceled. In most cases, cancellations at Busuanga Airport are due to adverse weather conditions, such as low pressure or torrential rain. Airlines typically offer options to rebook on later flights or change your ticket to a future date. If you no longer plan to fly with them, you can request a full refund.
During which months are flights more likely to be cancelled?
September and October are the months with the worst weather events in Busuanga, leading to most of the cancellations or delays. However, it’s worth noting that even during these months, over 90% of flights operate on schedule.
Is there anything else to consider?
With so many tourist destinations in the Philippines and limited direct flight options, booking connecting flights is often the best approach. For instance, if you’re traveling from Busuanga to Boracay, it’s highly recommended to book your trip with a single airline. Avoid mixing airlines just to save a few pesos, as dealing with delays and missed connections becomes much easier when working with one airline. In fact, most of the time, they resolve the issue before you even need to ask.
